1. Tidy Up Your Desk and Make Room for What’s Really Important

A while back we gave you some tidying tips, but just in case, we remind you of our friend Marie Kondo, and if you don’t know her, you can check out our article here! Clean your desk well, throw away the pens that don’t work and the broken, old stuff that you don’t like at all, and forget about it. Think about putting your computer or the work tool you need in a prime location and let the rest fit the way you work.

2. Don’t Lose Your Papers, File Them

Sort through anything that tends to accumulate, especially papers, and sift through them. Throw away what you don’t need and file what you do need. There are some really cool filing cabinets that will help you always find what you’re looking for, even if you’re a freelancer looking for the lost invoice like Indiana Jones.

3. Create a Space for Everything

Now that you’ve cleared your desk of papers and other materials, your space is ready for storage. Divide your stuff into drawers, boxes or metal filing cabinets, whichever you prefer. Oh, and there’s nothing worse than getting your feet tangled up in computer cords, printer cables and countless connected items, so you better get the wiring under control when organizing your office.
Use desk organizers and other nice office supplies to store everything from pens and notes to a stapler and cell phone… Everything you need so you don’t have to get up every now and then when you need to write and get things done.

4. Surround Yourself with Colors

Surround Yourself with Colors

We’re talking about putting any pretty and colorful things that you love. This will be one of the ways to feel good at your desk, what better way than to look at your desk and sigh with excitement!

5. Keep Inspiration Close At Hand

This is so important! Pick a picture you love, make a mural of your favorite illustrations, hang a brainstorming board, pick a photo, an inspirational phrase, or your own drawings… SOMETHING that you love and that motivates you in your daily life, so that every time you look up, that thing makes you smile.
An inspiring wallpaper will also look great on your computer. Don’t forget that you can also your own picture to give a touch of color to all your devices: your mobile, computer and tablet.

6. Keep Your Agenda, Calendar or Planner Handy

It is very important to have your weekly and monthly schedule under control. Either on your computer or in a calendar or planner. This will help you focus and not have ten thousand papers scattered everywhere.
Choose the form of organization you like best and get started! With a good planner, you’ll surely be able to cross off all those tasks you’re in the process of completing. When you do, you’ll feel so much better.

7. Add Plants and Flowers
